Kovalam beach in Kerala is perhaps the most famous tourist attraction of the state and India’s most famous beach. Getting to Kovalam is very easy due to its proximity to the state capital. The nearest airport is the Trivandrum International Airport. Trivandrum Central is the nearest rail head from the beach. A half an hour drive from the airport and the railhead will take you to this most magnificent beach.

Anjuna beach in Goa is bordered by a shallow cliff of the Western Ghats. The long lining coconut trees add to the beauty of the beach. The white sandy beach often features large boulders, where the waves break and bubbles in between. The beach houses a number of restaurants and shopping stores.

Anjuna beach in Goa is one of the largest beaches of the state. The northern side of the beach is mostly crowded with hotels, resorts, shopping area and beach eateries. DeMello, Soronto and St Anthony vaddos are the prime attractions of the Anjuna beach. There is a large flea market in Dando Vaddo, which leads to the south of the beach.

The southern part of the Anjuna beach in Goa is famous for water sports activities. Indulge into snorkeling around the rocks in the sea on a warm sunny day. Catching a glimpse of mullet, parrotfish and groupers here is very common.

Goa is famous for its pulsating nightlife. Paraiso de Goa (Paradisio) is a unique trance bar located on the Anjuna beach. The bar remains open till morning. It is set on a mound next to the beach and offers a marvelous view of the sea at night. The five star hotels located close to the beach also has their private discotheques and night clubs.

There are endless chains of restaurants and shacks on the beach serving mouthwatering food. Try out some of the local cuisines of Goa and the very famous drink – fenny. Shore Bar on the beach is a good choice to watch the sunset and drink beer into the night. Great food is also served at the Sea Breeze CafĂ©, German Bakery, Martha’s Breakfast Home, Jam Connection and Tin Tin Tibet.

The nearest airport is Dabolim Airport, located at a distance of 57 km from the Anjuna beach. The nearest railway station is Thivim Station, which is 19 km from the beach. You can also hire taxis from Panjim and reach Anjuna via road.
